12th August   Willow Weaving with Avril Smolders – There was a time not so long ago when if you needed a basket or other small container you would make it from the material available in the water ways, local fields and hedgerows. Willow baskets were created  for a wide range of uses in the countryside as were reed baskets in the wetlands. Avril will be showing how to make baskets and other objects using willow. There will be a range of willow items for sale.
